Argentina donates two Russian-built military helicopters to Ukraine
Argentine President Javier Milei has handed over two Russian-made helicopters to the Ukrainian military
This was reported by the Financial Times.
The publication does not specify which helicopters were handed over to Ukraine, but in December last year, the Argentine Air Force planned to hand over two Russian-made Mi-171E helicopters to the Ukrainian military.
The Mi-17s were ordered from Russia in 2011 for transportation missions, search and rescue operations, and operations in the Antarctic.
“Milei has prioritized alliances with “countries that defend freedom”, including the US, Israel — which he visited earlier this month — and Ukraine, to which he has donated two Russian-built military helicopters,” the publication says.
Milei added thet he planned to host a “summit of Latin America support” for Ukraine later this year.
