Parimatch Ukraine has joined a large fundraising campaign by Ukrainian football legend Andrii Shevchenko to restore the Champion football stadium in Irpin through the UNITED24 fundraising platform. The company plans to donate EUR 200,000, thus finalizing the amount needed for the reconstruction of the sports arena

The completely destroyed sports arena is being restored at the initiative of Andrii Shevchenko, the Golden Ball winner and ambassador of the UNITED24 fundraising platform, started after his visit to Irpin in the fall of 2022.

“It was one of the most touching moments of my visit,” Shevchenko said. “I walked through the destroyed stands, through corridors covered with glass and concrete, and came to a field with a large black скфеук in the middle of it. Children were running around with a ball. It was a very difficult, painful and at the same time inspiring scene that moved me to tears. The enemy managed to destroy the football field, but not our children's passion for their favorite game. Then I realized that I had to restore this stadium, and we will definitely do it.”

Shevchenko united the global and Ukrainian football community. The necessary amount was raised thanks to AC Milan, FC Shakhtar Donetsk, the Italian Serie A Football League, and Parimatch Ukraine. The partners' funds will be used to rebuild the stands, restore the pitch and lighting of the stadium.

Earlier, Parimatch, as an official partner of the UNITED24 national fundraising platform, has transferred UAH 75 million to defense and medical care projects. The reconstruction of the stadium in Irpin will be the first project for Parimatch under the Rebuilding Ukraine program.
