Lifting border blockade: almost 5,000 trucks leave for Poland from Ukraine
Checkpoints are gradually restoring capacity after the suspension of the blockade, with around 5,000 trucks already departing for Poland
Oleksandr Kubrakov, Deputy Prime Minister for Recovery and Minister of Communities, Territories, and Infrastructure Development, announced that following the suspension of the blockade on January 17, approximately 5,000 trucks have departed for Poland.
"After the blockade was suspended on January 17, almost 5,000 trucks have already left for Poland at the Dorohusk-Yahodyn, Hrebenne-Rava-Ruska and Korczowa-Krakovets checkpoints. The largest checkpoint, Yahodyn, has already restored its capacity to 600 trucks per day. This figure is even higher than it was before the blockade. The number of trucks leaving through Krakivets and Rava-Ruska is growing," the statement said.
Kubrakov also mentioned ongoing evaluations of the solution at Nyzhankovychi-Malhovitse, where eCheck registration is temporarily suspended, and discussions with Poland about creating four additional border crossing points alongside the existing 14.
