Zelenskyy creates city military administration in Sumy, appoints its head
On Tuesday, October 31, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy issued a decree establishing a city military administration in Sumy and appointing the current deputy head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Oleksiy Drozdenko, as its head
This is stated in Presidential Decree No. 720/2023.
"Pursuant to the Law of Ukraine 'On the Legal Regime of Martial Law', I hereby decree to establish the Sumy City Military Administration of Sumy District, Sumy Region," the statement reads.
It is noted that the decree comes into force on the day of its publication.
Further, according to the decree of the President of Ukraine No. 184/2023-rp, Oleksiy Oleksandrovych Drozdenko was appointed as the head of the Sumy City Military Administration.
Previously, he was the deputy head of Sumy Regional Military Administration. He was appointed to the position on June 30, 2023. Drozdenko is the Dean of the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technologies of Sumy State University and holds a PhD in Physics and Mathematics.
