Trump will have to reap what he sowed

The American elections are extremely important for Ukraine, and this is obvious to everyone. It is also incredibly interesting to watch from a political science point of view

Donald Trump's election strategy was based on criticizing Joe Biden's ability to perform the duties of the presidency. Trump called Biden "the worst president in history" without any remorse, and emphasized his age limitations in every possible way.

But after Biden's decision to withdraw from the race, this strategy unexpectedly turned against Trump himself, because he is not much younger, and at the end of his term he risks becoming the oldest president of the United States. And so the Republicans will have to rebuild their campaign.

And now that his rival is likely to be the much younger Kamala Harris, the Democrats will definitely remind Trump of everything in the style of political aikido.

After Kamala Harris's speech in Wisconsin, the main emphases of the possible Democratic campaign became clear.

"I was a courtroom prosecutor.., I took on perpetrators of all kinds. Predators who abused women. Fraudsters who ripped off consumers. Cheaters who broke the rules for their own gain. So hear me when I say I know Donald Trump's type," she said. It is quite realistic that she, as a prosecutor, can debunk Trump's main theses, which are often filled with populism.

In addition, Trump will have to debate with a woman, and in such a discussion, if he goes too far with rudeness, he can easily lose. This is a challenge for the confident Donald.

Trump, on the other hand, successfully complemented himself with his vice presidential candidate, Vance, who is the embodiment of the American dream. Growing up with a drug-addicted mother in a poor family, he was able to become what he became. And you can even watch a movie about it on the Netflix platform.

But Harris, a black woman whose parents were immigrants from Jamaica and India who became scientists, and whose daughter became the first female vice president in US history, embodies the same dream.

Therefore, it is also about the dream that America is for all those who aspire to live and work there.

Elections are a narrative, a story, a myth that a candidate conveys to people. And it is much broader than an ideological program, if the candidate himself is the personification of his own myth…

The campaign, which began rather ordinarily, now looks quite different. Popular American stars, such as the phenomenal Taylor Swift and the extremely convincing Oprah Winfrey, may well be on Harris's side.

Yes, everything will be decided in a few states that are hesitant. This is how the US electoral system works. But one thing is certain: the results will not be determined until the final vote count. And there is definitely a winner in the United States. This winner is democracy.

And the most important thing for Ukraine in these elections is to stay out of the way and maintain bipartisan support from the United States.
