It will come with threats, tanks: Podolyak on inviting Russia to Normandy landings anniversary
Advisor to the Head of the President's Office Mykhailo Podolyak believes inviting Russia to any event, including the 80th anniversary of the Normandy landings, will always be aimed at stimulating aggression
He wrote about this on social media (X).
He believes that some people would like to return to the "sweet pre-war time," when Russia was feared but dealt with, but this will not work.
"Today, the Russian Federation has thrown off all its decorative masks, put a grimace of hatred back on its face, and just wants to kill, attack, and destroy. That is why any invitation from Russia to any event (summits, celebrations, games, discussions) is always aimed at stimulating aggression, encouraging murder, and maximizing the genocidal component of the war," Podolyak emphasized.
The advisor to the head of the President's Office added that the 'Russian world' demonstratively insults modern humanistic civilization with its actions.
He urged not to invite Moscow to any international events, as the Russians "are sure to come with threats and tanks.”

On April 16, France confirmed that Russia would be invited to the celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of the Allied landings in Normandy on June 6. The Kremlin responded in a characteristically humiliating manner.
