Hezbollah's position weakens, but total defeat unlikely: expert on on Nasrallah's potential elimination
Orientalist Mykhailo Yakubovych believes that the death of Hassan Nasrallah would not entirely dismantle the operations of the Hezbollah terrorist organization
He shared his opinions with Espreso TV.
“Of course, the death of Hassan Nasrallah will weaken Hezbollah's position. This is not only because Nasrallah himself was killed, but also because many of the organization's top leaders, including key communicators from Iran, died with him. Those responsible for military drones were also among the casualties. However, we should not expect a complete defeat of Hezbollah. They have strong roots in the local Shiite community and will continue to recruit new supporters there. It's possible that Hezbollah will even be partially pushed into Syria,” Yakubovych explained.
Yakubovych also noted that this is not the first instance of Hezbollah facing the assassination of its leader. He pointed to the assassination of Hezbollah leader Abbas al-Musawi by the Israeli Defense Forces in 1992.
