World Bank will provide Ukraine with €100 million loan to restore healthcare system
Ukraine and the World Bank signed a negotiation protocol on receiving a €100 million loan to restore Ukraine’s healthcare system
This was announced on the web portal of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
"The funds will be directed to implement a set of urgent measures for the return to the stable functioning of the healthcare system, the restoration of destroyed or war-damaged medical facilities, their modernization and increase in efficiency," said Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko.
It is noted that Ukraine and the World Bank signed a negotiation protocol regarding a €100 million loan. At the same time, a grant of the Global Financing Fund in the amount of $10 million for the implementation of the project "Strengthening the health care system and saving lives" was also signed.
The funds are also planned to be directed to the modernization and improvement of the efficiency of inpatient care and the improvement and strengthening of primary health care. In addition, part of the funds will be allocated to meet new needs in mental health care and rehabilitation and the development of the electronic health care system.
