Luxembourg opposes Ukraine's NATO membership, warns of potential tensions
At the NATO Foreign Ministers' meeting in Brussels, Luxembourg's Foreign Minister Xavier Bettel opposed Ukraine's membership in the coalition

"I believe that Ukraine’s NATO membership will lead to tension again," said Xavier Bettel, adding that if a country attacked by Russia were to become a member, there would be an immediate risk of new conflicts arising.
At the same time, Bettel emphasized his support for Ukraine's accession to the European Union.
The Ukrainian delegation was also present at the talks in Brussels. Before the meeting, Ukraine made it clear that it considers NATO membership the only real guarantee of security in the event of a ceasefire with Russia.
- On October 3, Luxembourg became the seventeenth partner country to join the Drone Coalition initiative for Ukraine.
