White House warns that aid packages to Ukraine should be reduced
The White House warns that funds to support Ukraine are exhausted, with limited resources remaining
This was announced on Friday, November 3, at a press briefing on board the presidential plane by White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre.
"Today's announcement (of a new aid package - ed.) exhausts the remaining USAI funds currently available to support Ukraine," she said.
Karine Jean-Pierre added that the US administration currently has certain reserves to allocate aid to Kyiv within the presidential powers. According to her, the United States is reducing the size of the packages to meet the urgent needs of the Armed Forces in the future, as well as to expand its ability to support Ukraine "for as long as possible."
The White House spokeswoman also reiterated her call on the US Congress to pass President Biden's major request for support to Ukraine.
