White House sees danger in Russia-Iran cooperation not only for Ukraine, but also for US
Russia-Iran cooperation can threaten not only Ukraine, but also the US national security. The US administration wants to enlist Israel's support to confront Iran
The White House Coordinator for Strategic Communications, John Kirby, said this, Voice of America reports.
“We continue to see a deepening defense relations between Iran and Russia. And that worries us not only because of the war in Ukraine, but because of what it could mean for our national security interests in the Middle East and the interests of our partners there,” Kirby said.
He recalled the hundreds of drones provided by Iran to Russia and noted that the US government looks forward to working with the new Israeli government, including to counter the challenges posed by Iran.
“We have confidence that we will be able to continue working towards achieving these common goals,” the White House representative emphasized.
