Iran claims that country is not Russian-Ukrainian war participant
A spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry Nasser Kanaani called "baseless accusations" about supporting Russia in its war against Ukraine
This is reported by Xinhua publication.
"Iran is not a part of the conflict in Ukraine, and baseless accusations against Iran will not help solve the issue," he said.
He claims officials of Iran and Ukraine exchanged views on the accusations, and no one could find evidence.
"Iran's defense cooperation (with other countries) is based on common interests and is carried out in compliance with international laws and regulations," Kanaani stated, adding that defense cooperation between Iran and Russia was carried out until February 24, 2022.
He noted that the Ukrainian authorities should stop making "baseless and false accusations" against Iran, but consider appropriate ways to resolve the crisis.
