We need actions, not statements: Polish expert Sierant on calls to provide Ukraine with long-range missiles to strike Russia
Expert Marek Sierant believes that Poland understands the importance of a long-range missile system for strikes on Russian territory, but the West has not yet made such a political decision and understanding
He expressed this opinion on the Espreso TV channel.
"I am not surprised by the UN's statements on Ukraine. This is nothing new. There are many conflicts in the world and we hear calls from the UN every day. People who feel great and are safe are starting to parasitize on the war theme. That's all I can say about the UN," explained Sierant.
The expert emphasized that the West should make up its mind and provide Ukraine with all the necessary weapons. "I hope that Polish Foreign Minister Sikorski will be heard in the West. He is heard in Poland. However, the EU and US position remains an open question. We don't know how they feel about the transfer of long-range missiles to Ukraine to strike at Russian territory. We need to take action. The same applies to Canada. They support Ukraine there, but if we compare the assistance from Poland, Canada is far behind. Ukrainian politicians should think about why, with such a large diaspora, Canada does not increase its assistance to Ukraine," he added.
On January 3, Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski said that Western countries should respond to Russia's shelling of Ukraine by sending Kyiv long-range missiles to eliminate launchers on Russian territory.
