
Ukraine’s soldiers of 79th Brigade repel one of Russia’s largest assaults
Soldiers of the 79th Separate Tavria Air Assault Brigade rebuffed one of the largest Russian assaults in the entire period of full-scale war in the Kurakhove direction

The occupying Russian army simultaneously used 11 tanks, 45 armored combat vehicles with troops and 1 Terminator tank support vehicle. They also attacked using motorcycles, with 12 "riders," according to the report.
The Russian columns started to attack at dawn. The assault began from several directions at once.
Aerial reconnaissance of the 79th Brigade discovered Russian vehicles far away on the outskirts. Ukrainian artillery immediately started firing on their battle formation, the 79th Air Assault Brigade described the details of the assault.
The brigade reported that attack drone operators began by stopping the first tanks and armored combat vehicles. Then, the anti-tank units joined the battle. Much of the Russian equipment exploded on mines laid by the 79th Brigade's sappers.
“After the first tanks and armored vehicles were hit, the rest of the equipment started to leave the battlefield. Our operators were finishing off the infantry that fled to the landings with drops,” the soldiers said.
As a result of the battle, the Ukrainian paratroopers hit six Russian tanks and seven armored personnel carriers with infantry. They burned all 12 motorized bikes, killed 40 Russian soldiers and wounded 37.
