Russia attacks Ukraine with Iskander-M missile, 22 Shahed UAVs overnight

Ukrainian Air Force Commander Mykola Oleshchuk reports.

On the night of July 26, 2024, the Russian army fired an Iskander-M ballistic missile from the Rostov region at the Donetsk region and Shahed-type attack UAVs from Cape Chauda in Crimea and Kursk.

The Air Force's radio engineering troops detected 22 Shaheds, 20 of which were shot down by air defense in the Kherson, Sumy, Zhytomyr, and Chernihiv regions, Oleshchuk reports.

"The air attack was repelled by mobile firing groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, anti-aircraft missile troops, and airborne electronic warfare units," he added.

• On the night of July 25, the Russian army launched Shahed drones at Ukraine: air defense was operating in the Kyiv region, two people were injured in the Odesa region.
