Washington plans to provide Ukraine with additional grant aid by September - US Treasury
Washington has developed a plan to provide additional assistance to Ukraine through grants, in particular to support energy security. It is planned to be implemented by September 2023
This was stated by the US Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen during an international roundtable on support for Ukraine organized by the IMF and the World Bank, Ukrinform reports.
"We have current plans to provide additional aid (to Ukraine - ed.) through September—all as grants—as well as to provide support for energy security and early recovery," the US Treasury Secretary said.
Janet Yellen also emphasized that helping Ukraine is a collective effort of allies and partners.
"We welcome the efforts by our allies and partners to provide significant, predictable, and timely assistance, and urge all of us to continue doing so," she added.
