Ukrainian border guards repelled the Wagner soldiers' attack in Bakhmut

At night, units of the State Border Guard Service as part of the Defense Forces repelled the assault of the Wagner mercenaries, killing 29 soldiers and wounding 40 more.

The State Border Guard Service's press service reported this, according to Ukrinform.

“The enemy focused its main efforts on trying to break through the defense line in the industrial zone of the fortress city of Bakhmut. In this location, one of the border guards' strongholds was located in the direction of the main attack of the enemy forces. The battle began in the evening, and the confrontation lasted until late at night. At the fiercest moment of the battle, our position was attacked simultaneously by six assault groups of the Wagner PMC. The Ukrainian defenders destroyed the occupying forces with mortars, heavy machine guns and sniper weapons. Ukrainian defenders threw dozens of fragmentation grenades at the mercenaries who were climbing the ruins in the near zone,” the press service reported.

Ukrainian CERT-UA team wins trophy at US Marine Corps cyber exercise

At the end of March, four teams of the State Special Communications Service of Ukraine took part in the Quantico Cyber Eagle cybersecurity exercise at the CYBER RANGES technology training ground in Quantico, Virginia, at the invitation of the US Marine Corps.

Members of Ukraine's Computer Emergency Response Team were able to test their teamwork skills in a high-fidelity simulation environment that replicated the tactics and techniques used by Russian actors in cyberspace.

“We are pleased that our teams have shown very good results, and the CERT-UA team received the Quantico Cyber Eagle trophy,” Oleksandr Potiy, Deputy Head of Ukraine's State Special Communications Service said.

The scenario was based on a simulation of a cyberattack by Russia's special services on the embassy of a fictional NATO country.

“The similarity of tactics, techniques and procedures used to conduct real cyber attacks on our country and NATO countries gave Ukrainian teams the opportunity to practice and hone their skills in responding to cyber incidents,” the agency added.
