On September 26, during talks, US Congress representatives agreed to provide almost USD 12 billion in aid for Ukraine from the budget for the 2023 fiscal year (starting on October 1)

According to the interlocutor of the agency, members of Congress also agreed to allocate funding for the resettlement of refugees from Afghanistan.
It is also noted that the Congress has until midnight on Friday to adopt a new budget, otherwise a shutdown will be announced in the country - state institutions will stop working until the adoption of the law on the budget.
