Both ministers wrote about this on Twitter.
"Had a phone call with Lloyd Austin. Grateful for another package of security assistance, especially for the new capabilities to defend our skies from russia's brutal attacks. Ukrainian PATRIOTic soldiers will master these systems quickly. They proved their skills many times," said Oleksiy Reznikov.
His American counterpart confirmed the "unshakable commitment of the United States to support Ukraine" and promised "further efforts of the United States to provide assistance in the field of security."
"Today, I spoke with my good friend and Ukrainian counterpart Oleksiy Reznikov to discuss continued US security assistance efforts and to reinforce the unwavering American commitment to support Ukraine," the statement said.
It is noted that the ministers discussed, in particular, the provision of Patriot batteries and other key means to Ukraine.
"Against the backdrop of Russia's unrelenting attacks on the critical civilian infrastructure, Secretary Austin reiterated that air defense is a top priority for security US assistance to Ukraine," the report said.
