Ukrainian president’s office plans to place Peskov on international wanted list for his visit to occupied Luhansk
Spokesman of the Russian president Dmytry Peskov could be prosecuted for his visit to occupied Luhansk, Ukraine warns
Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, said this in a comment to LIGA.net news outlet.
"Peskov's visits to Luhansk or any other occupied cities of Ukraine should be considered exclusively through the lens of the Criminal Code," he said.
According to Podoliak, the spokesman of the Russian President may be placed on international wanted list.
"Further conversation is simple: suspicion - preventive measure - international investigation - indictment - court - verdict. Since Ukraine is a legal state where there is a presumption of innocence and the right to defense, we recommend that Mr. Peskov already start looking for a lawyer and prepare to testify in this regard. The same applies to the other officials of the Russian Federation," the presidential adviser said.
