Ukrainian politician calls IAEA ineffective and incompetent due to inability to solve problem with occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP
Commenting on the situation around the occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP, Mykhailo Podolyak, Advisor to the Head of the Ukraine's Presidential Office, called the IAEA ineffective and incompetent
He said this in an interview with Channel 24.
Podoliak noted that the International Atomic Energy Agency has not made any progress in creating a safe zone around the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP in six months.
"This emphasizes the quality of these international institutions and the Russian influence on these institutions. They are significant. Unfortunately, these are just unfounded statements that have no desire to be realized in any specific logical way. In other words, they came, said something, and fulfilled their mission," said the advisor.
According to him, the IAEA representatives do not influence anything, but simply record what everyone knows about: shelling, heavy equipment near the station and abuse of the staff.
"This shows the effectiveness and competence of these international institutions. We started with the UN, and so did the IAEA," Podolyak emphasized.
