Amid the Ukrainian army's ability to create new combat-ready units, a problem arises regarding the pace of Western weapons supplies
This was said by Israeli military expert David Hendelman on the air of the "Studio Zahid with Antin Borkovskyi" program on the Espreso TV channel.
"Now the question is not in the number of Russian soldiers, but in Ukrainian army, and its
combat-ready forces, in particular, those withdrawn from the right bank. Plus, as we know, new reserves are constantly being prepared, new units are being created. We hear that another amphibious brigade, another mechanized brigade is being created, we are already talking about the creation of new army corps," he said.
According to the expert, the problem is at what pace the Ukrainian command will be able to prepare them and the issue of Western arms deliveries constantly arises.
"In terms of personnel, the Ukrainian army can create new units quite quickly, but without taking into account training and so on, they need to be armed with something, and now we don’t see really large supplies, a large increase in supplies. Of course, a part can be taken from trophies, from the same Kharkiv direction, as reported, quite a lot was taken, because the whole problem is that the front is large, in addition to creating a Ukrainian shock fist for the same Melitopol direction, it would also be great to throw reserves to the northeast and to Bakhmut, in a word, to spread the forces, which in principle are not so many, because the reserves are not fully ready yet," Hendelman concluded.
