France and Italy will provide Ukraine with the Mamba air defense system (SAMP-T), the last difficulties that prevented the supply of systems to Ukraine have been resolved

"France and Italy will provide Ukraine with the requested air defense equipment. This is a very persistent request of President Zelenskyy, and the Italians have confirmed to us that they are ready to fulfil it. In this way, we can meet their needs," said French Ambassador to Ukraine Etienne de Poncins.
According to the publication, France immediately agreed to the possibility of supplying these systems. However, the issue has still been discussed with Italy.
The latest difficulties that hindered the supply of Mamba systems to Ukraine seem to have been resolved, the French newspaper writes.
The SAMP-T anti-aircraft missile system is manufactured by the French-Italian company Eurosam. Its key components are the Aster 30 missile and the Arabel multifunctional radar. The target detection range is up to 80 km. The air defense system has a minimum reaction time and a high rate of fire (eight missiles can be launched in 10 seconds).
