Ukraine to receive another €274 million tranche of aid from Netherlands
The Dutch authorities have announced the allocation of the first aid package in 2023 for 274 million euros, which will be directed to non-military assistance
This is stated on the website of the Dutch government.
Thus, 180 million euros of this package will be allocated for humanitarian aid, agriculture, and reconstruction work.
Of this amount, €20 million will go to humanitarian aid. €10 million each will be spent on mental health and psychosocial support and on de-mining agricultural land. EUR 40 million will be allocated for the purchase of seeds and equipment for Ukrainian agriculture.
In addition, €100 million will be used to restore hospitals and the healthcare system, energy supply, housing and infrastructure.
The rest of the package, €94 million, will be allocated for non-lethal support to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the fight against impunity, and the preservation of cultural heritage.
The Dutch government aims to provide €75 million of this part of the aid package to improve cooperation between Ukraine and NATO.
EUR 14 million will be used to fight impunity for international crimes, including the creation of a damage register in The Hague for Ukraine caused by Russian aggression and support for the International Criminal Court in collecting evidence.
Another €5 million will be spent to protect and preserve the culture that defines Ukraine's identity.
