Ukraine needs USD 30 billion arsenal to repel Russian aggression
In order to repel Russian aggression and de-occupy its territories, Ukraine needs an arsenal of weapons worth over USD 30 billion
Bloomberg reported that to succeed, Ukraine would have to conduct a complex, total military operation without air superiority, for which very few militaries in the world are trained.
This means coordinating infantry, armor, sappers, and air defense to maximize the impact of the more than 200 tanks, 300 infantry fighting vehicles, and other weapons Ukraine has received since December. Ukrainian commanders have lowered their expectations and repeatedly asked for more weapons, including air defense and long-range missiles.
“Armed with well over $30 billion in weapons freshly supplied by its allies, Ukraine is gearing up for a counteroffensive that may push Russia closer to ending its war, or show neither side has enough firepower to seize the advantage,” the publication noted.
