On Tuesday, May 7, the cargo ship ALEXIS, en route from Ukraine to Egypt, ran aground in the Bosphorus due to equipment failure

According to the General Directorate of Coastal Security, the 229-meter-long vessel ran aground in front of Istanbul's Haydarpasa breakwater due to an engine failure.
It is noted that tugs, high-speed rescue boats and divers were immediately sent to the scene.
Ship traffic on the Bosphorus has been temporarily suspended in both directions.
