Ukraine can use HIMARS to destroy airfields and railways in Crimea - military expert Kyrychevskyi
Defense Express expert Ivan Kyrychevskyi says that Ukraine already has capability to destroy infrastructure facilities in Russian-occupied Crimea
He shared this information with Espreso.
"If we talk about the situation at the moment, while we do not have ATACMS missiles, we will have to exchange for targets smaller than the Crimean bridge, in particular enemy radar stations, anti-aircraft missile systems, airfields, as well as transport infrastructure facilities," he said.
Kyrychevskyi called it a good idea "first to destroy the Russians' railway in the temporarily occupied Crimea, and only then the Crimean bridge itself, so that they could not drive their echelons with equipment over it".
"When ATACMS missiles, firing at a range of 300 km, reach us in sufficient quantities - it is obvious that the Crimean bridge can be included in the list of these targets that can be hit by HIMARS. We received the M270 complexes - HIMARS can shoot one ATACMS missile in one salvo, but with the M270 - two at once", the expert concluded.
