Ukraine builds its policy on respect: Zelenskyy announces important UN resolution
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that next week Ukraine will present a resolution to the UN, the content of which he has already introduced to members of the Caribbean Community.
In his daily address Zelenskyy said that he would continue to consolidate support for Ukraine's initiatives in the UN General Assembly.
“Next week we will introduce an important resolution, and today I presented its essence, particularly to the heads of government of the Caribbean Community," Zelenskyy said.
The president emphasized that Ukraine develops its foreign policy on the basis of respect for other participants in international relations.
“Ukraine always bases its foreign policy on respect for all participants in international relations. All nations are equal and deserve an independent life, and peaceful cooperation with other nations.
This principle of ours meets understanding in all parts of the world. And I thank every state, and every nation that supports Ukrainian efforts to stabilize international relations," Zelenskyy said.
Zelenskyy called on the representatives of the Caribbean Community to support Ukraine at the UN, noting that the resolution would focus on achieving peace and restoring international law.
"The aggressor must always lose. Law must always prevail. The truth must always spread around the world. And every state in the world – big or small – must have the right to its independence and to respect for this independence by all others. These are the principles of Ukraine. I know these are your principles as well. I thank you for being on the side of law. I thank you for striving to give your country and the world stability. But true stability is only possible when we all work together to protect the world from state-sponsored banditry. That is why I invite you to cooperate more! We will submit a resolution to the UN General Assembly on a comprehensive, fair and sustainable peace in Ukraine, and thus the restoration of the full force of the rules-based international order. Your votes matter! Peace is a value that we must take care of together!" Zelenskyy underscored.
