Turkey offers to hold negotiations between West, Russia on Ukraine - Milliyet
Turkey plans to organize negotiations for Russia, the US, France, Germany, and the UK regarding Ukraine
This was reported by the Turkish publication Milliyet.
Milliyet says the plan has not been shared with all Western capitals yet, but Washington has already received it through private channels and initial US comments on the matter are said to be positive.
"At this time, Turkey plans to seat the four largest countries of the West - the United States, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom - at the same table with Russia. This plan has not reached all Western capitals yet, but has been transmitted to the United States through important and private channels. Initial comments on the plan from influential people in Washington have been quite positive. The only question is whether it is possible to contact Russia for such a dialogue," the message reads.
At the same time, Turkey emphasizes the need to end the war without the use of nuclear potential.
"Ankara respects the will of Ukraine and says through open channels that the war must return to peace without the use of tactical nuclear weapons," the publication writes.
