Transnistria urges men to join Russian Armed Forces - Ukrainian intelligence
Media, job centers and local businesses in Transnistria are urging men to sign contracts with Russia's armed forces
The Ukrainian Defence Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate shared this update.
"There is a widespread encouragement for people to sign up for military service under contract with the Russian Armed Forces across the so-called 'Transnistrian Moldavian Republic'. Recruitment announcements are published in all media, distributed through mailboxes and posted in public places," the intelligence update said.
Also, the service is agitated at employment centers and local enterprises: "When applying to men's employment centers, contract military service is offered first. Meetings are held at industrial and agricultural enterprises, at which representatives of pre-military selection points agitate under contract. For the same purpose, there is undisguised pressure on conscripts."
The Tiraspol military registration and enlistment office has started recruiting students for military departments.
