To really support Ukraine Germany must supply Leopard tanks, MEP Viola von Cramon says
Currently, it is still unclear when Germany will be able to export its Leopard tanks to Ukraine
Viola von Cramon, Member of the European Parliament, said this in an interview with Espreso TV.
"I think that in order to really support Ukraine at the military level, we need to make the decision to supply Leopard tanks as soon as possible, because they, together with other systems, can fundamentally change the situation. I would like chancellor Scholz and his advisers to change their stance on this issue," she said.
The member of the European Parliament noted that, since Ukraine is decently technologically developed, it will be able to use Leopards in the war against Russia.
"We are making every effort to speed up the process, because we understand that this would be a powerful help for Ukraine, because your country is technologically developed enough to deal with these weapons, but now it is still unclear when these weapons can be exported to Ukraine," she added.
