The United States strongly condemns today's Russian missile strikes on the territory of Ukraine

This is noted in the statement of US President Joe Biden.

"As a result of these attacks, civilians were killed and injured, as well as targets were destroyed without any military necessity. They once again demonstrate the extreme brutality of Putin's illegal war against the Ukrainian people," the US president said in a statement.

Biden said that these attacks only further strengthen the commitment of the United States to help the people of Ukraine as much as needed.

"Together with our allies and partners, we will continue to make Russia pay the price for its aggression, hold Putin and Russia accountable for its atrocities and war crimes, and provide the support Ukrainian forces need to defend their country and their freedom," the statement says.

He called on Russia to immediately stop its unprovoked aggression against Ukraine and withdraw its troops.
