The USA assure that, together with its partners, they will not allow Russia to turn "winter cold" into weapon

John Kirby, coordinator for strategic communications of the National Security Council of White House, states on Monday during a press briefing, Ukrinform reports.

"First, we will continue to provide Ukrainian Armed Forces with means, weapons, capabilities and training they need to be successful on the battlefield," representative of the US administration noted.

In this regard, he recalled that Ukrainian Armed Forces have clearly demonstrated certain successes over the last few weeks.

"Secondly, we are working with our allies and partners around the world, and certainly working internally with other agencies of this administration to provide (Ukrainians - ed.) spare parts, equipment, transformers - things they need to rebuild operation of its systems and restore power supply," representative of the White House said.

According to him, this list is long. At the same time, Kirby noted that not all equipment comes from the United States. In particular, power grids and electrical equipment in Ukraine have European standards. So, he noted, the US is "working on this very, very closely with allies and partners."

Meanwhile, representative of the White House called it disgusting what Putin regime is doing in Ukraine, which first used food and weapons, then intimidation, and now - winter cold. Kirby emphasized that almost all of the latest missile strikes by Russian Federation were aimed at civilian infrastructure, in particular, energy, water and heat supply facilities.
