Bloomberg reported on the situation.
According to Bloomberg, the Ministry of Defense of South Korea sent a text message to reporters on Friday, November 11. The message said that the US and South Korea are negotiating regarding arms export, namely 155mm artillery shells to replenish Washington's stockpiles. The main condition for the transfer is that the US would be the end-user of the shells.
The Ministry released this statement after the Wall Street Journal reported that the artillery shells that the USA is planning to purchase will be further transferred to the Ukrainian army. Such an agreement, according to the WSJ, would allow South Korea to adhere to its public commitment not to supply Ukraine with lethal weapons.
