According to the regional governor, on January 6, Russian troops shelled the Kherson region 39 times. Russian forces bombarded peaceful towns and villages with artillery, small arms fire, mortars and tanks.
Kherson city came under Russian attack 9 times: residential quarters were hit.
"Shells hit private and multi-apartment buildings as well as the territory and building of a fire-rescue unit," Yaroslav Yanushevych wrote.
According to the head of Kherson Regional Military Administration, a rescue worker died as a result of Russian armed aggression, and seven residents of the region were injured.
