The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sybiha said this at a press conference, RBC-Ukraine reports.
‘According to Ukrainian intelligence, next year, if there is no appropriate response or prevention, Russia will be able to produce 30% more artillery shells than all EU countries combined,’ he said.
Sybiha emphasized that it is necessary to think deeply about this and to prevent it strategically. First of all, he refers to the so-called shadow fleet, which even now helps Russia to continue to trade in energy and oil, bypassing sanctions, he added.
‘Therefore, it is very important that further strengthening of the sanctions policy of the European Union and our partners focuses on this aspect as well,’ Sybiha concluded.
- On November 7, the UK government imposed new sanctions against the Russian military-industrial complex on the eve of the European Political Community summit in Budapest.
