Russia's November 28 attack plunges Ukraine's Mykolaiv into darkness for two days
As a result of Russia's massive missile and drone attack on November 28, Mykolaiv has been without electricity for two days, but heating stations are operating in the city
Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych stated this.
"The accident is really serious, and our power engineers are doing everything and looking for solutions to restore power supply. Our utilities are on the ground, we are working to provide the city with heat and water. There are some problems, don't forget that all this work also depends on electricity," he said.
According to him, public transportation in the city is working.
"We have put additional buses on the routes, as well as trolleybuses with an autonomous range of 20 kilometers," the mayor informed.
All medical facilities in Mykolaiv are also operating normally.
"There are no disruptions in the work. Doctors and medical staff are on the ground," emphasized Sienkevych.
In addition, heating stations have been set up in Mykolaiv where people can recharge their gadgets.
There are also water distribution points where people can get purified water.
Sienkevych urged the citizens to be patient.
"I think this is not the last such attack. So let's get ready. But I am confident that we will survive," the mayor summarized.
- Due to damage to power facilities, on November 29, power companies are applying one to three rounds of blackouts to households. For industry and business, restrictions are in place throughout the day.
