Russia launches Shahed, missile attacks on Ukraine, resulting in civilian deaths and injuries in Mykolaiv

At 2:32 a.m., Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych reported explosions in the city before an air raid alert was issued. A minute earlier, the Ukrainian Air Force had warned of a potential ballistic missile threat from the south. By 2:34 and 2:35 a.m., they reported a high-speed target approaching Mykolaiv.
By 2:38 a.m., Suspilne Mykolaiv confirmed additional explosions in the city. Shortly thereafter, Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration head Vitaliy Kim reported that a Russian attack resulted in one woman's death and injuries to eleven others, some in serious condition.
In the morning, the Regional Military Administration confirmed that Russia had launched S-300 missiles at Mykolaiv, damaging an infrastructure facility, a restaurant complex, trade pavilions, residential buildings, and vehicles. Fires broke out, but efforts to extinguish them were underway. The number of injured increased to 16, with three receiving outpatient care. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine noted that private houses and cars were also damaged in one district, while fires had been localized and extinguished in another area.
As of 10:44 a.m., the number of wounded increased to 23, said Vitaliy Kim. He added that people continue to seek medical care.
