Russian generals don't want mobilization: it would become apparent how military bases have been looted - Mykhailo Samus
Director of the New Geopolitics Research Network Mykhailo Samus believes that the Russian generals don't want to move to general mobilization in Russia, because then it will become apparent how the military bases have been looted and the army will not have enough supplies
The expert shared the details in the Verdict with Serhiy Rudenko program on Espreso TV.
"There is no general mobilization in Russia, and there are reasons for this. I am sure that the Russian generals know that over the past 30 years, a lot has been stolen from the storage bases located both behind the Urals and to the Urals. That is why they do not want a general mobilization, so that it is not revealed. After all, it was not enough to recruit 200-300 thousand people. They must be provided with everything necessary: weapons, equipment, resources, etc. All this can be stolen, because the Russian generals believed that the war would be carried out by units of constant readiness, but the occupiers did not cope with this", Samus said.
The military expert added that the Russians were so confident in their army that they believed they could afford to fight in units of constant readiness without general mobilization.
"Back in 2010, the Russians adopted doctrinal provisions, according to which the Russian army is transitioning to so-called units and units of constant readiness. They decided that in the post-Soviet space they are so powerful and so dominant that they can afford to fight with units of constant readiness without general mobilization. Now we see that the Russians have missed all the mobilization deadlines in order to prepare their army at least at a minimal level. So now the Russians can covertly resort to recruitment into military units", Mykhailo Samus noted.
