Russian forces fleeing their positions may spark escalation - Reserve Major General Chumak

He shared the details with Espreso TV. 

"After the blatant retreat of the Russians from their positions, tactical nuclear weapons may conditionally be used. The US has a caveat, according to which a rapid escape and quick strikes cause or provoke an escalation of the conflict, but grinding down the enemy's forces is exactly what is needed", Chumak explained. 

Viktor Chumak also noted what US Army General Lloyd Austin said at the first Ramstein: "Our task is to make sure that Russia will never again be able to wage any war".

"There are two scenarios: a quick victory over Russia and Russia disintegrating, involving a lot of risks, including for the Western world. The second scenario is the grinder. This meat grinder will grind up not only the troops, it is grinding up all the resources that Russia has. This means a drop in military, economic, technological, and human resources. All of this combined can cause Russia to bleed", Chumak noted.
