Russia will chair UN Security Council for one month
On April 1, the aggressor state Russia took charge of the UN executive body, replacing Mozambique under the terms of the order of precedence

"Russia assumes the rotating presidency of the Security Council for April," the statement said.

The UN Security Council includes 10 rotating and five permanent member states, including Russia, the United Kingdom, France, the United States, and China. According to Article 24 of the UN Charter, the UN Security Council as a permanent body is responsible for the maintenance of international peace and security. The presidency of the UN Security Council passes to another member state every month.
