Ukraine sees 300,000 rise in disability cases since Russia's invasion
Ukraine's Minister of Labor and Social Policy, Oksana Zholnovych, stated that since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion, the number of people with disabilities in Ukraine has increased by 300,000

"The number of people with disabilities has increased by 300,000. These are different individuals, as many elderly people have formalized their disabilities, while others have not yet done so," Zholnovych stated.
According to the official, this figure could be higher, but as of November 2024, the number of people with disabilities has risen from 2.7 million to 3 million.
- According to the Economist, since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion, 60,000 to 100,000 Ukrainian soldiers may have been killed, with around 400,000 more likely wounded.
