Ukraine's 24th brigade shows shocking tour of Chasiv Yar destroyed by Russia

‘Chasiv Yar. A terrifying tour of the destroyed town from the 24th Brigade - the center, the house of culture, the brick factory. ‘The Russian world is killing’. This is the inscription left on the wall of one of the buildings on Myru Street (Peace Street - ed.),’ the post reads.

The Russians continue to storm the town and wipe it out with all kinds of weapons — artillery, mines, rockets, 'kamikaze' drones and guided bombs. 

Some streets looked calm and alive just a month ago, but now they are nothing but ruins. There are still civilians in the town.

‘Here you will see a tour of the destroyed town, apartment buildings and abandoned houses from the inside, the cultural centre, the central part of Chasiv Yar and the territory of the brick factory. This video allows you to understand the conditions and ‘atmosphere’ in which the soldiers of the 24th Brigade are holding back the invasion of overwhelming enemy forces,’ the soldiers of the 24th Brigade say.

What is known about the 24th Brigade

The 24th separate mechanized brigade named after King Danylo is a military unit of mechanized troops as part of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is part of the operational command West. The brigade is named after King Danylo, the ruler of the Kingdom of Rus, a prominent statesman and commander of the Middle Ages.

Since the beginning of the Russian aggression in 2014, units of the brigade have been involved in many areas of the war in the east. The brigade's soldiers were also involved in combat operations during the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Despite the fierce fighting, the soldiers remain optimistic and motivated to complete their tasks and achieve the victory expected by everyone.
