Ukraine shuts down Russia's Oskol Electrometallurgical Plant: intelligence clarifies outcome
As a result of the July 1 attack by Ukrainian drones, Russia's only full-cycle steel plant, the Oskol Electrometallurgical Plant, was shut down
Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, said this during the United News telethon.
According to him, the shutdown of the Oskol Ugarov Electrometallurgical Plant in Russia's Belgorod region will have significant consequences, "so this is good news for all those who oppose Russian aggression.”
Yusov emphasized that the company's main customers are the military, and the plant specializes in the production of vehicles, military equipment, and anything that uses metal.
"This is the only full-cycle steelmaking enterprise in Russia. It has been shut down. And let's just say that in the coming months, it will be problematic to resume full operations there. This means complications and disruption of defense orders and supply chains," said the intelligence representative.
