Russian troops drop more KAB bombs on Kursk region than Ukraine's Sumy
Volodymyr Bitsak, Deputy Head of the Sumy District Council, reported on September 21 that Russian forces dropped 16 guided bombs on the Sumy region and 31 on the Kursk region
He shared the information on Espreso TV.
"Over the past day, September 22, 150 explosions were recorded in the Sumy region, with 11 KABs (guided aerial bombs) hitting local communities. On Saturday, September 21, I personally witnessed this while standing on a hill, when within 10 minutes, 5 KABs struck Sumy. It was terrifying. Fortunately, no one was injured, though a power line was damaged. However, KABs are hitting not only the Sumy region but also the Kursk region. In terms of the number of strikes, Kursk is being hit more. On Saturday, the Russians dropped 16 KABs on Sumy and 31 on Kursk," noted Volodymyr Bitsak, Deputy Head of the Sumy District Council.
He added that they were not particularly surprised, as they had anticipated Russian forces would target their settlements in the Kursk region.
- On September 21, Russian forces launched an attack on the city of Sumy using guided bombs. The strike left one person wounded and caused power outages in one of the city's districts.
