Russia shells Hlukhiv in Sumy region, killing boy, injuring 6 more children
On Saturday, July 27, the Russian army shelled the Hlukhiv community in the Sumy region. The attack injured 13 people, including 7 children. Later, a boy later died in hospital
This was reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration:
"Today, on 27 July, the enemy fired on the Hlukhiv community using multiple rocket launchers. 12 explosions were recorded," the statement said.
As a result of the shelling, 13 civilians were injured, including 7 children. A 14-year-old boy died in hospital some time later.
“Apartment and private houses, an educational institution, a shop, and vehicles were also damaged. Prosecutors in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies are documenting the consequences of the shelling,” the prosecutor's office added.
As of 2:35 p.m., the Sumy Military Administration reported 10 wounded as a result of the attack. One woman and a child are in serious condition. The injured are being provided with the necessary medical care.
Earlier, the head of the community, Nadiya Vaylo, reported the explosions in Hlukhiv.
According to her, there are wounded people and infrastructure damage.
"There is no information about the killed people, but there are civilians in serious condition," the official added.

Known for its historical and cultural reserve, the town of Hlukhiv, which was the last hetman's capital in the 18th century, regularly comes under Russian shelling.
