Russia recruits female prisoners for active participation in Ukraine war
Russia is actively recruiting female prisoners to participate in the war against Ukraine. Russia’s Ministry of Defense is conducting relevant work in women's correctional colonies across the country

The National Resistance Center reported the information.
Specifically, women are being offered contracts for a duration of one year.
"They are offered mainly combat positions, including sniper and assault rifleman. If they agree to sign a contract, they are supposed to undergo a two-month training program, and upon completion of the contract, they are pardoned," the Center writes.

On January 31, it was reported that since the onset of the full-scale invasion, Russia initially recruited prisoners for a brief period. However, there are now reports of them being offered standard long-term contracts.
