Russia loses 2-3 months' worth of ammunition after drone strike on Toropets warehouse – Estonian intelligence
A drone strike on an ammunition warehouse in Toropets, Tver region, on September 18, wiped out Russia’s ammunition supply for the next 2-3 months, which could impact the frontline soon
Colonel Ants Kiviselg, head of the Estonian Defense Forces’ Intelligence Center said this in an interview with ERR.
Kiviselg mentioned that extra ammunition, which had not been originally stored at the site, had been moved to the Toropets warehouse shortly before the attack.
“30,000 tons of explosive ammunition were destroyed, which equals around 750,000 shells. Given that Russia produces roughly 10,000 shells per week, this blow effectively wipes out 2-3 months' worth of supply,” he explained.
According to Kiviselg, the effects of this loss will be noticeable on the battlefield in the upcoming weeks.
