Russia loses 1,530 soldiers, 5 tanks and air defense system in day of war in Ukraine
The occupying Russian army lost 1,530 servicemen over a day of the war. Ukrainian Defense Forces also destroyed several pieces of Russian equipment, including 5 tanks

Russia's total combat losses from February 24, 2022, to December 19, 2024, are approximately:

- tanks - 9,576 (+5),
- armored fighting vehicles - 19,799 (+27),
- artillery systems - 21,178 (+14),
- MLRS - 1,256 (+0),
- air defense systems - 1,026 (+1),
- aircraft - 369 (+0),
- helicopters - 329 (+0),
- UAVs of operational and tactical level - 20,521 (+51),
- cruise missiles - 2,943 (+0),
- ships/boats - 28 (+0),
- submarines - 1 (+0),
- vehicles and fuel tanks - 31,678 (+68),
- special equipment - 3,656 (+4).
