Russia attacks Ukraine with drones, damaging power lines in Kyiv region

Consequences of the attack on the Kyiv city and region

Around 4 a.m., it was reported that a fire broke out in Kyiv due to falling debris.

“In the Darnytsia district of the city, the wreckage of downed enemy drones caused trees and grass to catch fire in an open area. The fire was promptly extinguished,” the statement said at 3:44 a.m.

In the morning, the Kyiv City Military Administration reported on the results of the attack.

“The loitering ammunition entered the capital in two large waves. The first time the air alert was announced in Kyiv around midnight, and the second time - at about three in the morning. In total, the night alerts lasted about 4 hours,” the statement said.

They added that up to a dozen drones were neutralized.

“There was no information on casualties. The data of the operational summary is being clarified,” the miliary administration summarized.

Later, Ruslan Kravchenko, the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, said that no hits to critical or residential infrastructure were recorded in the region.  

According to him, in one of the districts of the region, the debris of a Russian UAV damaged a power line and caused a fire in the dead wood. The fire has already been extinguished.

Rivne region

According to the head of Rivne Regional State Administration Oleksandr Koval, the air alert in Rivne region lasted for almost 5 hours last night.

“The result of the work of the air defense forces is the downing of an enemy air target. There were no casualties or damage to infrastructure,” he wrote.

Lviv region

The head of the Lviv Regional State Administration, Maksym Kozytskyi, informed that on the night of October 25, during an air raid that lasted from 02:27 a.m. to 04:13 a.m., four Russian attack drones flew into the territory of the Lviv region.

There were no casualties, he added. 

Air defense activity

Throughout the night, the Kyiv Regional Military Administartion and the military administration of the capital reported on air defense operations in the region and Kyiv. Air defense was also operating in the Lviv region.
